Sinaguan Petroglyphs

Today I stayed busy at this 1,000 year old petroglyph site located around Sedona. During the morning hours I studied the history of this site and during the afternoon I was let go to teach groups of tourists for interpretation.
The wall is about 20 feet long along side a cliff nestled deep in a slot canyon which is impossible to see or notice unless you're 10 feet away from it. It was made around 1,000 A.D. by the Sinaguan Indians.
Supposedly the site was a type of ampitheater for surrounding Indian villagers. A shaman would stand in front of these walls and tell stories.
Above is a picture from my camera phone :)

Just wanted to share something (or 2 things actually) I miss most while I'm away. My pug Vader and my Shitsu/Chihuahua mix Bella. This is an older pic...

Super Bowl sunday :(

Today was a tough day for any Cardinals fan... Gotta give it up to Kurt Warner, Fitzgerald and the Cards in general. Even though they didn't get the win, they did us proud...

Tommorow might see a movie while I'm in Phoenix and Tuesday I'm back up in Sedona where every day I see another beautiful part of nature.
