District Transfer

Hello everyone,
Two weeks ago I was able to move from the Sedona ranger district down to the Mesa ranger district. This has been an awesome opportunity because I get two different worlds to learn and gain experience from.
The forest service manages each district differently. The Sedona district is based primarily of specialists, or rather scientists. Whereas the Mesa disitrict is primarily Recreation technicians. The Mesa district manages the Superstition Mountains up to the Four Peaks range and the many lakes we all enjoy just northeast of town. I will right more soon, gotta go for now.

  1. I think that is a great thing to see two different sides of being a ranger. I was wondering though how you got to take part in the Sedona district because it doesn't seem that you would be a scientist? How has the Mesa district been treating you? It seems to be a huge area which makes me think you are traveling a lot. I can't wait to hear more.
